FAQ

What’s the best way to contact you?

Send us a DM on Instagram! Direct Messages will be responded to faster than email.

Can I call you and ask questions?

We communicate via Instagram DM and email to ensure timely responses and consistent communication.

Which breeds do you specialize in?

We breed different generations and sizes of Cavapoos and Cavapoochons.

What are your prices?

Our litters range between $3,000- $4,000. We will announce each litter’s price on Instagram once a litter is born.

Do you do genetic testing?

All of our parents have had their genetic testing done through either Canine Health Check, Embark, or GenSol Diagnostics.

Do you offer a Health Guarantee?

Yes, our puppies come with a two-year genetic health guarantee against serious, confirmed genetic conditions. This guarantee provides a replacement puppy if criteria are met and does not cover veterinary expenses or treatment costs.

What does your health guarantee not cover?

Our health guarantee covers serious, confirmed genetic defects only and provides a replacement puppy, not reimbursement. It does not cover veterinary bills, emergency visits, diagnostics, medications, surgery, or non-genetic conditions such as infections, developmental or growth-related issues, anatomical immaturity, or conditions expected to improve with age.

Do you offer Heath Insurance?

Your puppy comes with 30 days of complimentary TruPanion pet insurance, which must be activated at or before pickup. After the 30-day period, families may choose whether or not to continue coverage. Coverage decisions and claims are handled directly by the insurance provider.

What if I can no longer keep my puppy?

We understand that life circumstances can change. Puppy Match will always take a puppy back if a family is no longer able to keep them, so our puppies are never surrendered to shelters. Returning a puppy is separate from medical coverage and does not include reimbursement.

Does my puppy come with dew claws removed?

We no longer remove any dew claws. Current research supports their functional importance, and we choose not to perform elective removal.

How do you raise your puppies?

All puppies are raised in home, with daily love and care. We follow Badass Breeders and Puppy Culture Protocols with Early Neurological Stimulation from days 3-16.

Can I get one of your puppies if I’m not in Utah?

Yes! About 95% of our puppies live out of state. We have a flight nanny who can fly with your puppy in the cabin, and deliver to your nearest major airport for an additional cost.

How can I get on a waitlist for one of your puppies?

Send us a Direct Message on Instagram! We will email you a copy of our application.

What is a master waitlist?

A master waitlist is a waitlist for all of our puppies for the year. Once you are at the top of the waitlist, you can skip litters and puppies until you find the puppy with the correct temperament, color, and gender for you.

How much is the deposit? Is it refundable or transferable?

The deposit is $500 and it is nonrefundable and must be used towards a puppy within 18 months of paying. This show you are serious, and ready for a puppy. The $500 deposit goes towards the total cost.

How does the selection process work?

When puppies are six weeks old, we will contact our deposit list in order of deposit. By this point, based off temperament, photos and videos, you will likely know who you are wanting to make your forever pup. Temperament and correct fit are important for us, which is why we wait until you’re able to have a feel for the puppies personality. If you aren’t local, we will do your selection over FaceTime.

When is the balance due?

The balance is due at seven weeks old

How do you take payment?

We accept Venmo for Business (with an additional 3% fee), Zelle, and bank to bank transfer.

When can I meet my puppy?

We do not allow in person visits. Puppy Match is tun in our home where we are raising our baby and our puppies! To keep us and our puppies safe, we are firm on this. We will do our best to make regular Instagram updates, send videos, and post stories of each puppy to allow you to see their personalities, and can schedule 20 minute FaceTimes.

How often will I get updated photos of my puppy?

We will post high-resolution images once a week. We will be posting other videos and pictures regularly during their 8 weeks with us, so keep an eye on our Instagram account.

When will my puppy be ready to go home?

Puppies can go home at 8 weeks old! Sorry, there are no exceptions to let them go home sooner.

Will my puppy come vet checked?

Yes!  They are vet checked and vaccinated by our vet at 7 weeks. After pickup, all veterinary care and expenses are the responsibility of the family.

Will my puppy come to us microchipped?

We do not microchip our puppies prior to go-home and recommend waiting until after their final puppy vaccinations to place a chip.

Does my puppy come with breeding rights?

No. All of our puppies are sold on a strict spay or neuter contract. Official veterinarian documentation will be required.

Does my puppy come spayed or neutered?

No. Dogs need to reach full sexual maturity before being spayed or neutered. We do not recommend this procedure before one year old.

Will my puppy come trained?

We work with our puppies daily to make them confident, well-adjusted, and trusting. We will introduce them to crates, start them on potty training, and will start with recall using positive reinforcement. They will not come fully crate trained, potty trained, or leash trained. There will be a transition period and will likely be accidents in your home- they are little babies after all.

Does my puppy come with any papers?

We only breed designed (mixed-breed) dogs, which aren’t recognized by the AKC. Your puppy will not come with any registration. There are mixed breed registrations our there, but they don’t require any documentation to prove breed, so we do not register our puppies through any association.

What does my puppy come with?

Your puppy comes with one month of TruPanion insurance, a small bag of the food they’ve been eating (enough to transition to whatever you like), a blanket and toy that smells like their mom and litter-mates, snuggle puppy, and a copy of their vet check and vaccination papers.

What food do you recommend?

We recommend a balanced, puppy-appropriate diet that includes grains unless otherwise advised by your veterinarian.

How often will my puppy need to be groomed?

Non-shedding dogs need regular grooming. We don’t recommend bathing your puppy more than once a week, to avoid dry skin and matting. Grooming should take place every 5-12 weeks, depending on your preference. Regular brushing helps keep your dogs soft and mat-free.

Do you guarantee the adult size and coat of your puppies?

Due to the nature of mixed- breed dogs, we do not guarantee adult size or coats. We will have a great idea based off both parents and genetics, but do not guarantee.

How many times are your females bred?

We will not breed a female more than four times. Breeding is on a case by case basis, making sure our females are good moms and recover well from a litter of puppies. If they don’t, we will retire them and won’t breed them again. We never breed on their first heat.

Do all of your breeding dogs live with you?

They don’t! All of our moms and dads live with amazing guardian families nearby Salt Lake City, Utah.

What is a guardian home?

A guardian home is a permanent home for one of our dogs. They live their best lives with another family. We retain breeding rights.

What is a Partnership Litter?

We work with one local breeder who has the breeding ethos as us and either raise and home or home her puppies. The parents have genetic testing, are raised with ENS, and follow the same protocols as us. They come with our health guarantee and are seen by our vet  for all intents and purposes, they are Puppy Match pups!
