FAQ

What’s the best way to contact you?

Send us a DM on Instagram! Direct Messages will be responded to faster than email.

Can I call you and ask questions?

Instagram Direct Message and Email are the best ways to communicate with us. Due to the high level of interest in our puppies, we are unable to take that significant time away from our puppies to chat over the phone.

Which breeds do you specialize in?

We breed different generations and sizes of Cavapoos and Goldendoodles.

What are your prices?

Our litters range between $4,000 and $5,000. We will announce each litters price on Instagram once a litter is born.

Do you do genetic testing?

All of our parents have had their genetic testing done through either Canine Health Check, Embark, or GenSol Diagnostics.

Do you offer a Health Guarantee?

We offer a three-year genetic health guarantee.

Do you offer Heath Insurance?

Your puppy will come with 30 days of TruPanion pet insurance. We recommend families keep the coverage up, but are not required to. The first 30 days at your home are some of a puppies most vulnerable, so this should give you peace of mind. We recommend continuing insurance after the trial period!

Does my puppy come with dew claws removed?

We no longer remove any dew claws. There is a large body of evidence showing the importance of dew claws on dogs. It is now illegal in many countries and is considered mutilation.

How do you raise your puppies?

All puppies are raised in our home, with daily love and care. We follow Badass Breeders and Puppy Culture Protocols with Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction from days 3-16.

Can I get one of your puppies if I’m not in Utah?

Yes! About 95% of our puppies live out of state. We have a flight nanny who can fly with your puppy in the cabin, and deliver to your nearest major airport.

How can I get on a waitlist for one of your puppies?

Send us a Direct Message on Instagram! We will email you a copy of our application.

What is a master waitlist?

A master waitlist is a waitlist for all of our puppies for the year. Once you are at the top of the waitlist, you can skip litters and puppies until you find the puppy with the correct temperament, color, and gender for you.

How much is the deposit? Is it refundable or transferable?

The deposit is $750 and it is nonrefundable and must be used towards a puppy within 18 months of paying. This show you are serious, and ready for a puppy. The $750 deposit goes towards the total cost.

How does the selection process work?

When puppies are six weeks old, we will conduct temperament testing and contact our deposit list in order of deposit. By this point, based off temperament, photos and videos, you will likely know who you are wanting to make your forever pup. Temperament and correct fit are important for us, which is why we wait until you’re able to have a feel for the puppies personality. If you aren’t local, we will do your selection over FaceTime.

When is the balance due?

The balance is due at six weeks old

How do you take payment?

We accept Venmo for Business.

When can I meet my puppy?

Due to COVID and keeping us and our puppies safe, we are not allowing in person visits at this time. We will do our best to make regular Instagram updates, send videos, and post stories of each puppy to allow you to see their personalities.

How often will I get updated photos of my puppy?

We will post high-resolution images once a week. We will be posting other videos and pictures regularly during their 8 weeks with us, so keep an eye on our Instagram account.

When will my puppy be ready to go home?

Puppies can go home at 8 weeks old! Sorry, there are no exceptions to let them go home sooner.

Can I meet my puppies parents?

We are not doing any in-person meetings at this time. Each of our mom and dad dogs have highlights on our Instagram page. Watch their “highlights” to get a feel for their personality!

Will my puppy come vet checked?

Yes! All puppies have their dew claws removed by our vet between 3 and 5 days old. They are then vet checked, wormed, and vaccinated by our vet at 7 weeks.

Will my puppy come to us microchipped?

We no longer microchip our puppies. The growth that takes place in the first 16 weeks of life can cause the microchip to be expelled or migrate. We recommend waiting until their last set of puppy vaccines to have a chip placed.

Does my puppy come with breeding rights?

No. All of our puppies are sold on a strict spay or neuter contract. Official veterinarian documentation will be required within one year.

Does my puppy come spayed or neutered?

No. Dogs need to reach full sexual maturity before being spayed or neutered. We do not recommend this procedure before one year old.

Will my puppy come trained?

We work with our puppies daily to make them confident, well-adjusted, and trusting. We will introduce them to crates, start them on potty training, and will start with recall using positive reinforcement. They will not come fully crate trained, potty trained, or leash trained. There will be a transition period and will likely be accidents in your home- they are little babies after all.

Does my puppy come with any papers?

We only breed designed (mixed-breed) dogs, which aren’t recognized by the AKC. Your puppy will not come with any registration. There are mixed breed registrations our there, but they don’t require any documentation to prove breed, so we do not register our puppies through any association.

What does my puppy come with?

Your puppy comes with one month of TruPanion insurance, a small bag of the food they’ve been eating (enough to transition to whatever you like), a blanket and toy that smells like their mom and litter-mates, snuggle puppy, snuffle mat and lick board, and a copy of their vet check and vaccination papers.

What food do you recommend?

We recommend staying away from all grain-free foods. Recent studies have shown heart-failure and other problems caused by grain-free diets. Outside of that, we like Diamond Naturals Puppy,  Wellness Core Wholesome Grains, Acana Duck & Pumpkin limited ingredient, an Stella & Chewy’s Raw Coated Kibble. We will let you know which food your puppy is eating, so you can purchase some beforehand. We have a “food” highlight on Instagram that has other food and treat recomendations!

How often will my puppy need to be groomed?

Non-shedding dogs need regular grooming. We don’t recommend bathing your puppy more than once a week, to avoid dry skin and matting. Grooming should take place every 5-12 weeks, depending on your preference. Regular brushing helps keep your dogs soft and mat-free.

Do you guarantee the adult size and coat of your puppies?

Due to the nature of mixed- breed dogs, we do not guarantee adult size or coats. We will have a great idea based off both parents and genetics, but do not guarantee.

How many times are your females bred?

We will not breed a female more than four times. Breeding is on a case by case basis, making sure our females are good moms and recover well from a litter of puppies. If they don’t, we will retire them and won’t breed them again. We never breed on their first heat.

Do all of your breeding dogs live with you?

They don’t! Our only breeding dog who lives with us is Peanut, our female Cavapoo. All of our other moms and dads live with amazing guardian families nearby Salt Lake City, Utah.

What is a guardian home?

A guardian home is a permanent home for one of our dogs. They live their best lives with another family. We retain breeding rights.
